Carolina Bible Camp extends heartfelt sympathy to board member Greg Brewer upon the passing of his mother. She was a strong Christian lady and generous supporter of the Camp and bluegrass festival.

For many years the name "Wilson Burton" was synonymous with Carolina Bible Camp. Wilson and his wife Lil have done so much for the camp throughout the years. As head counselors, they worked together to make camp a great place and provided guidance to countless young people. Wilson served as Camp Director for many years and made sure summer camp went off without a hitch. Wilson was one of the first campers to attend CBC and served on the Board. In recent years, Wilson's health has declined and now he is in the clutches of Alzheimer's and facing the end of life with his family by his side. As a way to honor Wilson and Lil, Carolina Bible Camp is asking you to assist this Christian family with their current and end of life needs by making a financial contribution to the Kannapolis church of Christ 2315 Concord Lake Road-Kannapolis, N. C. 28083. The funds will be administered by the Elders at that congregation as the need arises. Any funds collected that go unused for this purpose will be returned to Carolina Bible Camp to be used for the scholarship fund in Wilson's honor. Checks are to be made out to the Kannapolis church of Christ and should be marked for the Wilson Burton Fund. The cancelled check will be your receipt. At one of the last Board meetings Wilson attended, he made the statement. "I am not good at opening the Bible and talking to someone about the church, but I hope the Lord will add a few jewels in my crown for what I have been able to do thru Him while working at Carolina Bible Camp." Indeed He will. Please pass this on to others and to congregations with which you are associated. All assistance is greatly appreciated.

End of the year donations are an integral part of any non profit corporation. Help CBC keep the cost of camp at the same level by helping us meet our financial needs. $25 from each person seeing this post would go a long way to continuing the tradition that has effected countless to give their lives to the service of the Lord.

Hey CBC supporters! Today is the day of our telethon. Not sure if we will get "live" up and running with computer and internet issues. However, everyone that attended CBC last summer will be getting a phone call reminding you that all contributions to CBC are tax deductible and the end of the year is fast approaching. We gave out almost 40 scholarships last year and as always there are a lot of maintenance issues that will need attention before CBC-2019! So please make those donations today. The new lodge has been completed and used by week 3 and week 4. It is a very comfortable setting. The singing sounds great inside and on the deck. We have listed a number of items we need for the kitchen in the lodge. You may purchase them at Target. com. Find the gift registry and enter Carolina Bible Camp as the first name and and Retreat Center as the last name. Pick and choose. You can bring to camp the last couple weeks or at the Bluegrass festival. Or you can mail them. This info will be repeated in the Chronicle and in an email blast to follow soon to all staff the last two years.
